A large number of GATE members and other German airport suppliers presented their newest technology and expertise at the German Pavilion. The event took place at the Singapore Expo where 190 exhibitors of the world’s leading airport companies came together.
Singapore, the centre of the South East Asian aviation industry, has a great impact on the neighboring countriesand attracted many trade visitors from the region. South East Asia is one of the fastest growing aviation markets over the next two decades with a highly predicted growth. Over 3,500 attendees including airport equipment buyers, service providers and aviation professionals showed up at the event.
Among the exhibits German products were strongly represented. In particular because of the participation from the German Airport Technology & Equipment Association (GATE). GATE occupied a exposed position on the optically outstanding German Pavilion.
„This year’s inter airport south east asia featured a perfect service, a homogeneous exhibitor community and an interested trade audience“, summarized Dieter A. Heinz, honorary president of GATE.
The rapid development of the aviation industry remains a success story of the German engagement in South East Asia, not least because of the intensive work of the GATE association.
The achievements of the trade fair business will be continued in Munich/Germany in October. „We are looking forward to represent our association at the inter airport Europe“, comments Kay Bärenfänger, president of GATE.
