Airports need more innovations. The focus should be on the passenger, airports will become carbon neutral, check-in and handling needs to be quicker, security requirements increase, many procedures could run autonomously.

Apart from top quality and an excellent service, innovative solutions are the key success factor for our member companies. These days innovations are not merely the product of R&D departments, but more often are the result of a joint effort by several project partners. The concepts and prototypes need to be exposed to real-life conditions as soon as possible in order to be reviewed and revised.

GATE in cooperation with Rostock-Laage Airport has established InnoAirport, a platform where enterprises can conceptualize, optimize, test and present their products and services in a real-life environment.
