GATE at the Airport Show Dubai

New times are dawning and GATE is part of it: At this year's Airport Show Dubai, member companies had the opportunity to present themselves live at a trade fair for the first time again. The German Pavilion offered Ammeraal Beltech, Colibri-Energy, SICK, tl traffic-lines, Siemens Logistics and COBUS Industries a platform to present their latest products and services to the airport world.

Adhering to strict hygiene measures, exhibitors and visitors were once again able to meet face-to-face and enjoy the flair of an international exhibition. "Even though digital trade shows have opened up exciting new opportunities, they are no substitute for on-site exchanges," commented GATE President Kay Bärenfänger.

The Airport Show Dubai was held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman of Dubai Airports, and was one of the first face-to-face exhibitions of the year. GATE Managing Director Jens Reinhard welcomed His Highness at the German Pavilion to talk about the development of the airport sector. After the pandemic-related drop in investment, there are now concrete expansion plans again. Decision-makers from major airports in the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia, for example, came to learn about innovative solutions.

"After the Corona-related downtime, it was a pleasure to finally get back in personal contact with business partners at the German Pavilion. Only face-to-face dialogue creates the necessary trust and makes brands as well as products tangible - especially in a B2B context," summarizes GATE Managing Director Jens Reinhard.

Particularly interesting for GATE was the exchange of experiences on how to cope with the crisis. But the association not only looked back, but also outlined visions for the future. The innovative strength of the member companies will help the aviation industry to regain its old strength.
