With its fastener systems and accessories, the company is a leading supplier for the conveyor industry. Flexco also offers products for airport baggage systems that minimize downtime. Segmented Transfer Plates reduce damage to belts - especially at transition points. "With our solutions, a problem reduction of average 98% can be achieved," confirms Tobias Haardt, Strategic Account Manager at Flexco. For example, the transfer solutions can prevent luggage straps from getting caught in the pinch points.
To raise awareness of these products in the airport industry, Flexco has joined the GATE association. "The belt conveyor industry is strongly represented in the association. We hope this network will give us better access to airports," Haardt comments. Flexco's products already support baggage handling systems at some German airports as well as in North America, Australia and Asia, but the company is aiming for greater exposure. "We hope to achieve this primarily through direct exchange with other GATE members and joint trade show appearances, for example at Passenger Terminal Expo. We hope this will help us gain more visibility in the industry," adds the Strategic Account Manager.
