The European consultancy d-fine focuses on analytical and quantitative challenges as well as the development of sustainable technological solutions for customers from various business
sectors - including mobility and transportation.
The new member of GATE has already made a name for itself in the aviation industry and not only implements projects at airports and with airlines, but also focuses on innovation topics such as advanced air mobility. "We use our knowledge to drive forward the digitalization of aviation. For example, topics such as cloud strategies, artificial intelligence and process mining for smarter passenger, cargo and apron processes keep d-fine busy," explains Oliver Wohak, Senior Manager and Lead Aviation at d-fine. "We combine specialist domain expertise with the latest technical know-how and provide support where a view of the overall context is required," adds Dr. Thorsten Sickenberger, Partner at d-fine and responsible for the Mobility & Transportation division.
It is equally important for the consulting firm to encourage the sustainable development of the industry. The new member is setting a positive example: it has been certified as a climate-neutral company by DEKRA since 2019. d-fine has also committed itself to sustainability by signing the Net-Zero Commitment of the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). "We are happy to pass on our experience in the development and implementation of decarbonization strategies or sustainability reporting to our customers," emphasizes Dr. Thorsten Sickenberger.
The consultancy d-fine is characterized by a holistic approach and the new member plans to use this to enrich GATE's working groups. "Together with GATE and the airports, we want to identify and exploit the potential of digitalization for data-based insights, process optimization and automation," says Oliver Wohak.
