The first exhibition of the year brought GATE to Singapore for the inter airport Southeast Asia (IASEA), Asia's Premier airport exhibition. From March 1-3, airport industry professionals gathered at the Marina Bay Convention Centre to exchange the latest technologies and trends. Vice President Technology, Christoph Oftring, arrived during the monsoon and was on site to represent the association at the German Pavilion. The German Pavilion with numerous GATE members took up almost 20 percent of the exhibition hall, making it hard to miss.
On the second day, the rain stopped, and the exhibition grounds were filled with sunny prospects. During lunchtime, there was a large influx of visitors, leading to numerous technical discussions
initiated at the German Pavilion. GATE and its members also received a visit from Christoph Haller, the permanent representative of the German ambassador in Singapore. He was impressed by the
variety of German products, some of which cover niches but are also high-tech solutions for the broader market.
In the follow-up, it was revealed that over 500 visitors visited the GATE stand. All exhibitors at the German Pavilion were satisfied or very satisfied. "The Pavilion creates a good impression of leading suppliers of equipment and services are German companies," said one exhibiting member. Overall, the inter airport Southeast Asia was a successful event that facilitated valuable discussions and interactions. Now, it is time to follow up on all the good talks and new connections made.
Hopefully, next time, the monsoon rain takes a break, allowing for a cold drink outside at the unique Marina Bay Convention Centre.
