GATE is on course for digitalization with its latest member on board: software developer cronn

With cronn, GATE has gained a new member who is dedicated and committed to software development, backed by their comprehensive knowledge. The Bonn-based company develops individualized digital solutions across various industry branches; be it for multinational corporations, medium-sized companies, or start-ups.

The corporate culture of the software developer brings its own special touch, with locations in Bonn, Hamburg and Białystok, Poland. "The 150-strong team puts its heart and soul into all projects," confirms Jobst Eßmeyer, who founded cronn ten years ago.

With the support of GATE, the CEO, who wanted to become a pilot as a child, is planning to set a course for the world of airports.

"With my penchant for aviation and technology, I am particularly pleased that we are now part of the GATE network," he adds. cronn has provided support for companies from the logistics industry, and so is well aware of the high demands of the mobility sector. "We operate in a highly regulated world which requires highly professional software," says Eßmeyer. "Now it's time to put our expertise in the field of aviation to use."

The software company promises high quality results which will meet customer expectations. Business Development Manager Karsten Rauner is convinced that GATE and cronn will complement each other perfectly. "The point isn't just to use the association as a networking platform. We want to play an active role in driving digitalization projects forward," comments Rauner.

Innovative impulses for aviation

CEO Jobst Eßmeyer cites the following possible use cases: increased use of AI for biometric identification, security surveillance, IoT for the management of airport resources, or automated processes such as chatbots for customer service.

"New partnerships and alliances between the digital and aviation industries along the entire value chain will be the factors and drivers critical to success," says the CEO, adding: "Agile development methods are becoming increasingly more important in promptly reacting to changing requirements. On top of this there is an increasing reliance on DevOps practices to optimize the integration of development and operations." To emphasize the importance of this cronn and GATE are planning a future event to further provide innovative impetus to the digitalization of the industry.
